Everybody has it happen now and then; a light bulb burns out in your home. What do you do? If you have a CFL bulb, you do not want to throw it in the trash. Instead, recycle it.
Where do bedbugs like to hide? They tend to live in groups in various hiding places, but they do not create nests. Just before feeding their bodies are thin and flat, making it easy for them to travel with you undetected. They can usually be found in mattresses, box springs, bed frames, and headboards where they have easy access to people to bite in the night.
Many website contact forms are generic. If you are creating forms for your customers, make it as specific as possible. An example is Graduate Sales in Wichita Falls, Texas. In their contact form, they merely ask for basic information from the customer. Of course, don’t forget to comment. Customers will not fill out this form to inquire: they will either call or send an email. Since Graduate Sales did not provide an email, they will most likely call, and hopefully, get an answer from the business owner. The contact form that they provide did not ask anything about order information such as products, quantities or delivery time. It’s a waste of web space.
An adult bedbug can survive 550 days without food. WebMD’s bedbug article says bedbugs are small, oval, brownish insects that live on the blood of animals or humans. Adult bedbugs have flat bodies about the size of an apple seed. After feeding, however, their bodies swell and are a reddish color.
Even our furniture has chemicals in the stains and fabrics it’s made out of. Replace your wood bed frames with metal frames, which do not allow bugs or diseases to make a home in them. Replace your mattress that is loaded with chemicals with a good cotton filled mattress. Look for the go green Radon Silent Killer logo before purchasing your mattress.
Eliminating standing water is the key to curbing the mosquito population on your property. This is where they breed and develop. Dump out anything that holds even a few ounces of water for more than a day after a rain. Turn containers upside down and don’t let tires or other water-holding objects accumulate. A pest control agent can help reduce the number of mosquitos already hatched and feeding in your yard.
Next step: classify the sites you’ve identified. Some will be great sources of industry knowledge, some may be great for recruitment, others great for customers to find out about products. Draw up a full list, together with brief comments about each. This will be a very important document to share with your staff or Web developers — they will find it useful for all sorts of reasons!
