How To Use Blogs To Explode The Sales Of Your Home Business Products Part I

Because of curiosity and my love of all things Internet related, more than three years ago I attended a bloggers’ get together. When asked if I had a blog, my answer was that “I do so much writing already, why would I ever need or enjoy creating a blog?” Since that memorable evening I read a few blogs, but still felt no desire to have one of my own. And then, it happened! I was bombarded by glowing reports of the importance of and marketing payoffs of having a blog.

But I always assumed that most bloggers would be like me and have some sort of comment approval policy in place. But then I forget, there are a lot of people running blogs for personal stuff and they simply don’t understand the whole spamming thing. So blog spammers take advantage of the ignorance of these bloggers and blast them with junk comments. And if their blogging software doesn’t use the nofollow tag in links then they just got themselves a link that some search engines (coughMSNcoughYahoo!cough) would record as valuable.

Search for yourself online. Simply go to Google and search for your company, you may be extremely surprised in what you find! I know we were, since the first page of results contained nine links to bad reviews or our competition, while only one was to our website. So if people searched for us online we were not making a good first impression. Google also has “alerts” which can be emailed directly to you as soon as a new result pops up in your name, which was also a big part of what we did. Again, direct someone to manage this day to day and cc everyone when something important comes up. The alerts are very simple to setup and change.

Blogs have gone from personal journals to a way to inform the public and discuss politics and world events to business use. Yes, people make money with blogs. In fact, blogging can earn you a very nice income if you know what you are doing. One blogger even auctioned his blogging services on EBay for thousands of dollars! Niche blogs are used to earn money as well. These are blogs where a person writes on a very narrow, yet popular topic, and uses affiliate programs or Google AdSense ads to earn revenue.

Then educate them to be careful of people on the internet that are being overly nice for they might have an ulterior motive. If your child plays games on the internet beware for there are predators in there as well. If someone is giving them free cheat codes or offering free gifts find out why and what is in it for them. When your children make there look at my project make sure they understand that anyone can view their blog so be careful with the types of pictures they put up.

Internet marketers write better ads. An internet marketer performs internet marketing, he’s an expert in that field. He knows how to write good copy to produce landing pages that sells. He knows how to design ads with a high click-through rate. Someone not in that niche might just do a half-efforted ad resulting in a lower click-through rate and conversion rate.

And don’t forget to tweet out the link as soon as you post something on your blog. Twitter is an amazing promotional tool whereby almost anything goes. And don’t forget to be responsive to RTs (ReTweets on twitter), SHARES on Facebook and comments in blogs. The more responsive you are, the more friends you make. Remember, friends is a very big thing when it comes to promoting a blog.
