I was thinking about just placing this under the Building traffic page, but I figured that blogging has become so huge that it deserved a separate page altogether.
When other bloggers write guest how to write blog posts for your website, it can help you to increase your traffic. Often, the other blogger will tell their readers about the post on your site, with a link. When they follow the link to read the post, they may very well stay to read your posts on your blog. The trade off, however, is that you include a link to the guest blogger’s own site.
blogging helps you stay in form. Through blogging you get to stay in touch with your creativity. Ever now and then, people tend to get rusty when they stray away from their work. Through blogging, you get to exercise your innovation, imagination and creativity. In other words, it a way of practicing and keeping your passion alive! You stay consistent hence proving to the users that you are the guy! Hence blogging becomes important.
Finally, ensure you don’t lose potential visitors by short-changing them with your blog’s content. Content truly is king, and if you want to develop a solid fan base of visitors to solidly monetise your blog, then you have to give them good material.
The final stage is to actually drive traffic to your site! If you’re blogging for money, then you’re going to need actual visitors to help make your blog an active cash machine. Getting traffic to any website is an art in itself, and there are many methods you can try out. One free method you can use is to post in related internet forums and message boards with a link to your blog in your forum signature. Another method is to submit articles to directories which, again, have a link to your blog.
So what kind of post do you want to create? Yes, there are different types of blog posts and yes I said “create” on purpose. From the technical side of things there are written posts, audio posts or even video posts. That makes a huge difference in your approach to creating the blog post. However, that’s not really the topic of this post. What I’m talking about when I ask what kind of blog post you want to create I’m more interested in the purpose of the post. Sharing is usually the greater purpose of a blog post, but that’s not really what I’m interested in either. No, my question is this: are you writing a blog post for traffic or out of pure inspiration?
So why are blogs so popular nowadays? I can think of a few reasons off the top of my head: For starters, it gives us a community in which we can easily communicate with people we know or never met about topics we share in common. With blogs, we can show our unique personalities through our writing. Blogging just gives the world yet another way to communicate on a grand scale. There is virtually no limit to what you can post. Don’t be left out.
As you can see there are many easy and low cost ways to get more traffic to blog posts. Each method will require some work on your part but like anything the more you put in the more you get out. So stay focused and before you know it you will have lots of blog traffic!
