There are cynics out there who would tell you that discs should not be duplicated. They would say a whole bunch of reasons but more often, their reasons are all shallow. But there is one thing that they fail to mention. What they are actually talking about is CD duplication done in the confines of their homes. They have not yet tried having professionals do it for them.
dvd duplication services can occur is a few ways. The first way is the absolute cheapest. Duplicating a CD as a do it yourself project is the best way to copy CDs. A disc can be duplicated one of two ways at home. The first way will require that a CD-RW is an installed drive on the laptop or the desktop that is going to be used.
Each of these copies are replicated. That is because there are mass quantities of these DVDs being made. Each requires its own special packaging. In addition, for commercial enterprises it is wise for them to put plastic protective cover on the bottom of each disc. Plus, there may be artwork they want to stand out on the face of the DVD.
Lastly, before mailing them out, place your masters into some kind of CD packaging for protection (e.g. PVC wallet, jewel case, clam shell, DVD case), making sure you handle the disc by its edges, keeping your fingers away from the data side of the CD.
Dual disc technology gels the DVD side (a standard 0.6 mm-thick DVD layer of 4.7 GB) with a CD side (a 0.9 mm-thick CD layer accommodating 60-minutes playback/recording or allows a 525 MB data storage).
There are so many professional duplication services that you can find today. Most of the times, these services cater to both small-scale and large-scale production. You could produce hundreds up to a thousand CDs. Each CD would always have the quality that you are looking for.
When burning your CD master using standard software such as Nero or Toast, use the ‘Disc-at-Once’ mode so all the data/music is transferred to the disc in one go. And make sure the disc is finalised (closed or fixated) before ejecting.
Remember if you aren’t a well know name in the industry people won’t come looking for your music CD. You will have to attract them in the split of a second in a music store and CD packaging will play a vital role in that.
