How many hours do you work in a typical week? 40? 50? 60? 80? How would you like to increase your income AND reduce your work week down to a mere 4 hours? That is just what Timothy Ferris, the author of the NY Times Best Seller The 4-Hour Workweek, did. While I do not agree with many of the things Tim did along the way to achieving his 4-Hour Workweek, there are some important lessons to be learned.
The task must seem like something you can do. If there is even one aspect in the Project contribution and ideas that you cannot accomplish, you should give it a pass and wait for something better to come your way. Remember that these project posters can rate and review you. So, if you cannot do a good job, you may get a bad rating and that can affect your future prospects on the website.
Now its time to register yourself with 5 or 6 or sometimes even more freelance web sites. Some sites charge freelancers to register, others do not. Some sites provide an escrow account from which freelancers are paid and a percentage of the payment is collected for administrative cost.
You will strain the paper pulp mixture with a screen and the frame to mold the shape of the paper or use the item of your choice to strain the water from the pulp. A screened item will work the best but you may find something else that works for you.
Where do you locate funding? Google is a perfect place to start. Another place would be to implement youth service grants. Grant awardees like to see the youth involved in receiving grant funds. Including youth in writing grant will be in your favor.
Your profile is (usually) the closest you’ll get to a face to face meeting with your client, so you want to make sure it’s up to date with your latest samples. You can also add your logo to your profile which makes you look more professional to a potential client. Also, consider making a promotional Youtube video (or outsourcing it if you aren’t so inclined) that a client can access from your profile. This can be a short video of you describing your skills, a ‘demo reel,’ a funny viral video, or testimonials from your clients. The key is to give the client an instant insight into the quality of your product. Most clients will check you profile before even reading your proposal, so this is the first and best way to make an impression.
Know and establish your goals. Before you go ahead and find service providers, spend a couple of minutes knowing exactly what you would like to achieve and write them in a piece of paper. You’ll most likely to get to where you want to be if you know exactly what you’re looking for.
Work Samples – If you are hiring a freelancer writer or web designer, ask for work samples. Ask if they have previous projects available online that you can view. This will ensure their style is similar to what you are looking for.
